Some games seem to just go right out of their way to alienate their audience with their presentation. Gitaroo Man Lives, more or less a direct port of Gitaroo Man on PS2, is one such game.
It’s OTT anime style gives the impression that it’s more complicated than it actually is. All of the songs you play are original compositions, so you won’t recognize any of them. And at a time when Guitar Hero and Rock Band were at it’s peak, it seemed a little dated to be playing a rhythm action game that relies on regular controls. (more…)
